    報告人簡介:

    Sibley教授是美國圣路易斯華盛頓大學Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff杰出教授,美國科學院院士。Sibley教授因在胞內寄生生物的分子與細胞生物學及寄生原蟲病的病原決定分子研究的突出貢獻而聞名于寄生蟲學學界。在Nature、Cell、Science、Cell Host & Microbe, EMBO J、Molecular Cell等國際頂級科學期刊上發表230多篇論文,被引將近20000次,H index高達82。Sibley教授近年來獲得了多項寄生蟲學學術榮譽,包括Burroughs Wellcome Fund分子寄生蟲學獎和Alice and CC Wang寄生蟲學獎。同時他也是Wellcome Trust和法國巴斯德研究所等多家頂級學術研究機構的科學顧問。Sibley教授也是Science、PLoS Pathogens、mBio和Annual Review of Microbiology等期刊編輯。

         Sibley教授從事弓形蟲研究30多年,獲得了弓形蟲病方面的一系列的原創性科學成就。鑒定弓形蟲蟲株的多樣性及蟲株譜系的來源;開發弓形蟲正向遺傳學方法并以此鑒定多種重要的弓形蟲毒性效應因子;發現弓形蟲產生脫落酸,發現并闡述鈣信號通路與弓形蟲毒性的關系;推動并完成弓形蟲基因組學、EST標簽等高通量生物信息研究;開發、引入弓形蟲多項遺傳研究技術;近年來,Sibley教授拓展到人獸共患寄生病原隱孢子蟲的,并實現了隱孢子蟲體外培養方案,全世界首例能在實驗室實現隱孢子蟲完全生活周期的培養,將極大推動相關理論和藥物篩選研究。
